I know I asked a bunch of times already but this is a better picutre. Im starting to prep it for paint now, taking out al the interior and cleaning everything up, fixing some rust, etc. total make-over for spring.

i still have NO clue what color i want to paint it...im thinking marooon with creme dash, creme headlight bezels and bumper.

can someone shave the mirror off and maybe put different wheels on it

not looking for crazy scallops or flames, just kinda 1 color. not looking for it to be lowered or anything either just differnt wheels (maybe stock wheels/caps?) :D

  3. Can't shave the mirrors (no photoshop on computer yet). but if you're pulling them I've been looking for a good small pair of west coasters.

I've had a couple of those econolines and ran slots on both of them. One was a goofy '70s setup (real wide in the back) but the other had more of a '60s vibe same size all around with redlines.

A friend in highschool ran dawg Dish hubcaps on his with body color wheels, the rears were offset a bit and he ran dirt track tires on it. looked real good and all fit in the fenders.

I like Maroon'n'cream. Ya might check out a valspar color (dupont) called SunShade Red. Its a color changer but not like a pearl. It gets darker or lighter according to the light. Pricey but its a cool color. Maybe a shade changer is a better description.

im going with whatever maaco has in there little color book.

its my daily driver so im not looking to make it show quality or anything just fix a few fist spots, smooth out the already bondoed ta hell nose. and drive it.

yeah i just dont like the big ol mirrors, they function GREAT and im SURE ill regret putting others on but ah well. the price ya pay.

as far as wheels i love redline tires but unsure of wheels.

how to you think all maroon with a creme roof/dash/ would look?

be nice with no A/C to have the roof white haha.

i pretty much already have the interior played out, maroon, creme dash, creme door panel inserts, and creme doghouse top, black carpetting and seats.

    Ok, I **** at photoshop...

I think a two tone creme/dark reddish brown would look awesome on that truck.
I tried some redlines and some pontiac wheels...hotwheels like look...

    haha. doodie!

I have paint plans for my econo... but you'll have to wait.

A solid Maroon by Maaco would be cool, but add some graphics of your own later... like a white flaked roof and scallops... or a big unicorn.

    Hahaha he said doodie...

Here's my attempt. Might be a good starting point for someone else...I tried to do the black trim up in cream but it wasn't working very well and I didn't really feel like goin' too nuts with the airbrushing.

I might play with it some more later...

those last 2 got me thinking... what about a fade job? Dark on bottom, lighter on top. Not a panel fade though.

if im going to do any minor modifications other than just cleaning it up. i really really dig that quad headlight idea that someone posted when they were photoshopping cabs ecopickup.

also i like that last one with the white roof and the whole color scheme although if i did that id drop the front bumper and not sure if id paint the grill white but it would sure look cool

still way up in the air over wheels, maybe stock wheels/hubcaps :eek:

  21. this is great! the two tone goes really well, and steelies with wide whites is perfect...how about some bellflowers...

  23. I understand those things are nearly impossible to lower or bag. Whats the issue? I love em but they sit way too high for my taste. Sorry for the hijack

front straight axle, with leafs, and as it is now the wheels rub sometimes. you also sit on top of the wheel weel. and im running 14 inchers.

its possible just not as easy as cutting some coils or taking out leafs or adding blocks.

hard to lower because there is no inner fender, the inner fender is the door jamb... you have to cut into the door opening if you want to go low.. which reduces you door opening. (you can only lower enough until the tire touches the top of the inner fender (unless you do some serious cutting)

and cutting means a lot when the seat mounts to the wheel well, etc.

i think itd be cool to bag it with wide whites in a crazy color its just not in my budget at all right now :( plus its my daily and i just love the way it rides right now.
