Most Chevy info forums are ambiguous at best, difficult to find straight answers.
I need my 307 codes deciphered.
On the back of the block, casting #- 3970024
    Pad on right front,- IOW232157 , T0109CNE
    Thanks.

10..... on the partial VIN means Chevy Car, 1970 model year. 0109 is Jan 9th (my sister's 12th birthday), CNE is a powerglide equipped 307 from a 1970 Camaro, Nova, or Chevelle. The W ***embly plant is Willow run, I think they built Novas in 1970, so that's probably what it's from. 200 hp, 2bbl carb, 9:1 compression. The T means the engine came from Tonnawonda NY

Squirrel, I know I'm being a smart *** but isn't your sister's birthday always on Jan 9, not just her 12th?

The engine was ***embled on her 12th birthday. Jan 9th is also Richard Nixon's birthday...what an honor!
