I have a 58 caddy two door and I am in need of a radiator and they are freakin hard to find in decent shape, I don't want to spend a ton of money on a re-core or a new one, I was wanting to know if anyone has put a diffrent model radiator in there caddy? just trying to get idea's of what to do for a radiator before I spend the money if I have to! thanks

I have a stocker '55 for sale if you're interested...was going to use in it my build, but opted for an aluminum...

If you got time, look for a cross-flow...you may have to modify the side panels to get it to fit, but it'll work better than a standard.

I think your biggest issue will be the ****** coolant lines. I think '57 is close, but I'm not sure on many of the others. I'm sure you've come to find out as I have that '58 has way too many 1 year parts.

If you have the trans cooler lines in the radiator then a 56 won't work. In 56 the trans cooler was mounted to the bottom of the bell housing and heater hoses ran down to it. Having one recored isn't that expensive as long as your tanks are good.
