Just finished three sets of these for a master model builder down in Plano , Texas he does some down right crazy stuff. The car is 1/6th scale and he provided the tires and knockoffs , I did the wire wheels, the lug nuts are 2mm , these are a 40 spoke Kelsey wire wheel . Chris

You know I ask myself the same question when I stand back and look at the finished product , How the heck did I JUST DO THAT , The rim and hub are 6061 T-6 Aluminum , the spokes are nickel plated steel, once I have a tire to build the wheel to , then you sketch out the rough dims and close your eye's and go for it. I have been build scale model wire wheels for about 20 years now I guess , anything someone is willing to flip the wallet for is good with me, the craziest one I did so fare is a 72 spoke Baroni for a exact replica in 1/8 scale of the Deucari the rims were 1.750 OD and the back side of the hub was .375 , micro size compared to the 1/6th scale wheel.

Just got a updated picture of the wheels mounted on the model , body has been painted and chrome work done, starting to take shape.

My friends at Paragon Customs, in Orlando, are restoring a full size one, right now. That in itself is a jaunting task, to say the least. Cannot imagine doing one that small. Completely amazing. Thanks for sharing.
