I think I got the pix right this time.

 

looks like a 8" ford housing

 

Bob, if thats an 8 inch I'll bet the width is just right for that 41- Mark

 

Never seen an 8in with that kind of dimples on the back! But, I'm here to learn!..............OLDBEET

 

I think it's 9" Ford. I've never seen an 8" with the "bump" for the ring gear.

that's a wierd looking rear! so's the one in the first pics.

How tall is the opening at the front gasket surface?

what bolt pattern at the axles?

how many splines?

 

Dana 41 maybe?

 

when did dana start making rears with a drop out third member?

 

Looks like a "later" 1967 up Ford p***enger 9" small bearing axle housing.

Ford 9". It looks non tapered so I'm gonna guess 31 spline. The width should tell you what year. Here's a good site for that:
