four matching rims and a hot battery you go lookin for a car to put em on!....I've got bout 20 rims layin around here...its the tires that are a pain in the ***..you keep the good ones, the worn out ones you want to do the right thing withem, there is a large item trash pickup in this town but its only twice a year, everything else is pay to dispose, I've found that a 14" tire in a big garbage sack with other trash disappears nicely on trash day.....

Probably a couple dozen 40-48 steelies, ten Halibrands, maybe a dozen Ford 16/17/18 wires, and probably another dozen misc. Americans and generics.

At least 8, a set of four that came off the truck and a set of four that are going onto the car. I may have a couple more still hidden away somewhere.

    25ish. Lot's of 5 spoke's form the '70's, a few chrome steel slot's and some of them aluminum slot's: 4 15x10's and 4 15x7 (6-lug). And stocking up on the factory ralley's too!

30 sumthin' the last time i counted. i built a rack to put them on and have all the 14's together, the 15's, the 16's, etc.

20 car & 4 motorcycle rims that have tires on them and are either running/driving or rolling around the shop.

  7. Currently:
    (2) NOS 15x14 Halibrand Sprints
    (2) 15x6 Halibrand Sprints
    (2) 16x10 ETIII's - one of the original 150 pairs **** Beith made at Wheel Centre back in the day
    (2) 16x4 steel IHC truck wheels (the other pair are on the back of my '32)
    (2) 18x5.5 Kelsey Hayes High Clearance or Milk Truck wheels (Chev six lug converted from 17" split rims)
    (8) 16X4 Chev Deluxe steelies (8 spoke, look alot like the Milk Truck-style High Clearance wheels above)
    (4) 17x5.5 Kelsey Hayes High Clearance or Milk Truck wheels (Chev six lug 17" split rims)
    (4) Halibrand-style smoothies in a very unique 20" size
I also have a ton of NOS and gently used vintage Firestone Sprint and Indy tires, from 18" Grooved Rears to NOS 18" wide Indys.

I like wheels and tires :D

100 at least......they seem to sprout up like mushrooms around here. A couple years ago I took about 100 old tires to the recyclers, now there are just as many again?

  9. I don't have more than a few dozen extra wheels, not counting the modern alloys that are slated for melting and pouring. I had an old farmer come and haul away over a hundred used tires for his hay wagons and he hardly made a dent in my pile. I think I'm going to have to have a tire barbeque some night this coming winter. Have to do it during a heavy snow storm so the DNR doesn't notice.

Dang! Who'da thought... I read where some of you have 40, 50, more in their personal collections of treasures. Then got to counting my own. Without actually going out and counting, I come up with 60 and I don't think that is all. How can you have that many wheels, and not have a junk yard? My place doesn't look that .... junkie. I'm not going to ask anyone else, though.
