After a long drive I noticed that the Fairlane was leaking a little more juice than usual. I traced it to an area just behind the carburetor. I found a bolt hole near the temp sender when I would rev the engine oil would squirt out. Is there a part that is suppose to be there or does it need a bolt in there? Here are some photos I hope might help. [IMG]

You need a SHORT bolt in there. There is a pushrod under the hole. A long bolt ( over about 1/2 long ) will contact the pushrod.

There should be a bolt in there, usually with a small clamp for the temp sender wire. The oil pressure wire may also have gone in the clamp. And yes, use a SHORT bolt as a long one may hit a push rod.

Thanks. At first when I saw the leak I immediately thought it was the main bearing seal. A half inch bolt seems like a much easier problem to fix. Thanks again.
