Got a buddy who built a tear drop trailer , he has those trailer wheels with the holes out near the rim .they are for sale every where . Any way , I would like to see him use center hub caps , like v8 or small moon 's . The rims are flat in the center and are a Small Ford pattern , other than spiders got any ideas ??? The trailer is AWSOME , want to help the retro look . Thanks guys !
You could use a full cap or as gimpyshotrods says change the wheels. I have the larger Ford truck pattern on mine and use 1934 17" wires on it. Jim Ford
There was a company called magcaps that sold a dog dish adapter that allowed Ford hubcaps on flat center wheels. I got them from Cabriolet Enterprises 34 Palisades Pkwy Oak Ridge, TN 37830 (423) 482-6731 e-mail magcaps@icx.net That was years ago so if no answer just ***ume they are gone. Wow guys ! Been busy ! The wheel swap is of co**** easy but my buddy has already had his wheels powder coated red and mounted white wall s willbe I want to talk to you ! Thanks for your Input !
A buddy of mine drilled and tapped 3 holes and put in 1/4-28 socket cap screws. The screws were left about a 1/4 inch out from the surface and spaced evenly around the rim so that the hubcap would snap on to them, similar to the tabs on a stock wheel. We put a set of early Merc caps on late model rims with this method.
Hi , thanks for the offer ! What lug pattern do they fit and what kind of hubcap do I use with them ?
