Will do rawcjw19, we are working out the spacers on the idler pulley bracket for the sbc drive kit. Should be a couple weeks or so. We need to get the bracket polished and it will also be offered with a brushed finish and possibly some powder coat on the ''DPI'' recessed letters in both brushed & polished. At this point I think I will offer whatever powder coat color's you guys want as long as its black, lol. Lots of fine detail's to work out. Every time you make a option that's another p/n with inventory ramifications and print changes to make. It's tedious work but it will be worth it

Wow almost a year later and still no blower. In November of last year we were awarded 2 large die casting, machining and powder coat jobs. Its 6:10pm and we are almost ready to finish the machining the samples and then on to powder coat tonight. One more machining fixture for a Turbo Y Pipe we are building for another customer and we are back on boring the case and designing the mold for the rotors. We also will be coming out with a couple new carb plates. One for dual Holley 4150 double pumpers and one for a 3x2 setup for Holley 4412 500cfm. Garen has been loaded down in design and fixture building but after the Y pipe we WILL be finishing the case and rotors. Our new target date is February 1st 2015 to release a completed 671.

Yes we will need some test vehicles. I bought a 72 Nova with a 502 in it. It has a Weiand 871. That will of course be 1 test car, lol. We have 6 cases cast which I hope will turn into 2-3 good ones. We have some changes to make to the case tooling for the next run. We originally made the case to be able to machine to both small and big bore rotors but we are contemplating changing to the large 5.800 bore only. I don't know what happened to the pictures. Statute of limitations maybe? lol. Garen who took all the pictures will get back on it later this year and I'm sure plenty of pictures will follow as we continue our build. Yes our site is diamondp.com.

The photos where originally uploaded and linked from facebook, it seems that they have changed urls somehow. I've uploaded and replaced the first 150 photos out of 287. I think up to page 4 has been replaced but some photos might not be in the right place. I've also linked the imgur album of the first 1-150 photos. http://imgur.com/a/9WQsQ

As for an update on our business and what's going on for the blower, well, this year has been crazy. We've been receiving tons of new work in all year long and even a few jobs that where pulled from China and brought back to the US. I've personally been making fixtures for these new jobs for our CNC shop nonstop for the past few months. Also, our machine shop manager who left us 3 years ago(right as the first video came out) has now returned to us just 3 weeks ago which has cut my workload in half and is helping out tremendously. I've gained a lot of CNC experience in these past 3 years on the production side of machining and hopefully our new work is thinning out and i will be able to dedicate more time to the blower again. DiamondP has been steadily growing every year, no huge booms but we have seen a steady, positive increase in sales since we started.

As for when you will see new info on our blower, well right now our old CNC manager and I are catching up on all the backup work we have for our customers. As soon as that is done we will be looking into finally buying the boring bars required to finish the blower cases and we will also be transferring our front and rear blower plates onto our TC-32B high speed machining CNC's both of which I hope to be able to record and start making videos over again. I did really enjoy making, documenting and sharing all this stuff but with the absence of our old manager for 3 years, I was the only one capable of doing his work so I just haven't had time to do any of the stuff I was doing at the beginning of this project. but hopefully that will soon change.

  7. Garen, I am glad you guys have been not just maintaining but growing, that is great, lots of shops in the past few years have been hard pressed to stay open. In Jan I will have been open 3 years with my place, I have found that the projects you want to work on are rarely the ones that pay the bills.
I have followed along since your first post on this thread and have enjoyed it, thanks.

Thanks, growth is always good but to much of anything can be bad, it's been an extremely stressful year because of it, lots of customers all wanting their stuff yesterday and not enough time to get to them all. I guess one of the perks of working for your father is it's a little more... acceptable, to fight with your boss than it is for a normal employee to do so. It's nice to finally have a break with our old manager back and for the first time in a long time, the backlog on work needing done is actually shrinking rather than growing.

Hopefully one day these projects will pay some of the bills though.
