I have had this hanging on the wall of my shop for about three years now and recently was asked what it came out of. Hopefully someone can help.

Thanks Bob. The guy I got it from only had early Plymouth stuff which made me lean that direction trying to identify it. The fuel gauge reminds me of a model A because it has a liquid connection on it. The speedometer works and I figure the amp gauge would since there isn't any physical damage visible on it. The fuel gauge is intact but has some corrosion in the threaded connection on the back. I have no idea what my wall hanger is worth but it seems to get a lot of interest from visitors.

I looked up some pictures of the 32 car dash and noticed that the instrument panel came out. The dash I have is a solid panel and only the instruments are removable. Admittedly I am not familiar with the 30's era cars (I have a 27 Ford coupe) so this whole deal is new to me.

Thanks for the tip. I looked and found one here on the HAMB listed for sale by a fellow member. It looks identical in shape and the only difference I saw was the in the instruments.

Notice on this dash how the sides rise up higher around the oval. This is for the extra knee room in the short pickup cab. P***enger dashes have a more even sweep from side to side without the dip under the oval.

The 32 pickup dashes had a removable gauge panel like a car does. The 33-34 pickup dashes had a solid gauge panel stamped in one piece with the dashboard. Just like this one does.

Ok, That is todays bit of new knowledge, are the column drops the same '32 and 33-34 pickup? Bob

  16. I believe the 33-34 BB big trucks used the '32 column drop,
but 33-34 pickups used a different one.

  17. Of course its easy to change but the '32 had a +/- 20 amp gauge while the '33-'34 was +/- 30 amp gauge. Not a definitive answer but one more piece.
