Hey guys. I'm after a bit of advice. Trying to figure out what pedal ***embly I can run in my 34 Coupe. I want to run an under dash pedal box for a manual trans but have no idea what would work/how to mount etc. The firewall is going to have a decent recess to fit in my 348W chevy so I'm limited for space as well. What have people used for this? Any ideas are greatly appreciated. This is a rhd car.

Why under the dash? Or perhaps I should ask are you talking about one of those street rod bell crank set-ups with the m/c's under the dash as well, or firewall mounted m/c's?

The original locations work well and you have options of hydraulic as well as cable operation for the clutch.

I can't believe you cut the firewall. Those stovebolts had 6 in a row, so there was room to spare. Like the other commentor asked, "What is wrong with the stock setup "? Just my two pesos.

It's a 34 Ford, not Chev, which is no doubt the reason for the cut.

I should probably explain a bit more haha. I havnt actually cut the firewall yet. Even if I don't the trans tunnel is quite large because I'm running a six speed tremec box. My fathers got his 34 coupe ute pedals set up with basically the same driveline with only a slight firewall recess and there is not to much room left around the floor, or for clearance around the starter and steering unis. I wanted the under dash set up so I wouldn't have to worry about these issues

And I'll probably be trying to run a remote master cylinder

My apologies. I saw the word Chevy so my response was wrong. Fords do require firewall surgery. Good luck.

He said it's RHD. To my knowledge Pete&Jakes don't make RHD pedal ***emblies.

I guess your talking about "swing" pedals. I got mine from Speedway. Bolts right up to a flat firewall no problem. I hope we're on the same page. Tim

Yeah have considered all the issue already. Mainly I just want the clearance in the engine bay for working. Dads setup works but it's really tight. The fab work and filling the master is no problem. I've already decided that this is what I'm doing. Was just trying to see if anyone else had done and what they used. Cheers

i put swing petals in my wife's 34 cabriolet. i wanted her to be able to check brake& clutch [4 spd] fluid w/out pulling up the floor. the firewall had been cut up to put the battery in it, i cut out the firewall and made a new one that was flat all the way up under the hood, put in beads and filled the top back to the cowl it also gave me room for her a/c and still use cowl vent.you cant see it w/hood down, car's from so. america, so i just say that is the import model, nobody questions it? her requirements for the car were, a/c, 4 spd. trans, and loud mufflers.
