We've been running one just like that on Hotrodjosh's coupe for almost 10 years. I think Tommy has one, too.

Those McCulluch's are COOL! Just be sure they have the idler and water pumps/ pulleys to go with it. Those could be a real ***** to find or make!

They were a factory option on 39 Fords. A guy up in Maine has had one on his 59A powered 40 coupe for about 25 years and drives the hell out of it, even to Florida.

  6. These are not only cool to look at, they run well too. But just like the other posts mention, try to buy one that is complete. Not that you can't fabricate the pullys, but it is a pain in the a**. :D

As for price, $2,000.00 is actually cheap for ebay prices. I bought one at the Jefferson WI. swap meet about 7-8 years ago. Paid $1250.00 for the complete set-up. Never got around to running it. Put it up on ebay and it went for $2500.00.

Hope you get it and run it!!!

Matt, is your dad still around? I visited him several times in the early 70's when I lived in Roselle. Bought a bunch of flatty stuff. I remember a bunch of rug rats playing in the driveway, one was possibly you.
