They usually have one in Paris in Feb. sometime, but last year was a bit thin. More toys and **** than car parts. Check the Old Autos if you can get ahold of a copy, they list all meets, shows, etc...

The road runners have their annual spring event in ancaster at the end of april. Isn't there an indoor event at the international centre sometime in march?

No swap meet, but this year Speedarama is supposedly going to have a more "traditional" content, (somewhat like the "ba*****t" show at Cobo hall) ,they're even going back to the old Automotive Building.

Might be cool to have a Stripe-O-Rama?...Rollie?...Unkl Ian?

Rodmasters has a spring show in Ancaster at the end of March, as well.

Old Autos is your best source for Canadian Swap Meet info.
There is also a Canadian Rodder board.
    --------
I havn't been to an indoor show in Toronto since the first time
I went to the Detroit Autorama. NO comparison.

The last time I was at Speedorama, the most interesting thing
there was the paint job on a Junior Dragster, done by VooDoo.
Now both shows have to same promoter.

Come to Detroit. [IMG] Should have over 100 Pinstripers there this year.

And most of the swap meets up here are no better.

Unless you are looking for die cast cars made in China,
used up late model Mustang parts,or third world tools and textiles.

The Coasters car club will be having a club display at Speedorama the first weekend in feb the show is supposed to be getting back to its roots and the history of early Ont car clubs. I know they are asking for any early hot rod and kustom history for a display.

Our club is hosting Speed-o-rama this year....trying to take it back from the ricers,,,,,the show is FILLED to capacity.(for the first time)
About 70% rods and Muscle material. This is what we have been told.

And yea..NOTHING can compete with COBO..period.
But...drop by our booth and say "HI" and maybe buy a 50th anniversary T....
    ..15-20 bucks.

Hey Brush. Do you happen to have any history on the club. A couple of us in the Western NY area are going to try and chronicle the history of local car clubs.-MIKE:)

Mike.the club was started in 56 and thru the late 50'a and into the mid sixtys...dragracing was a big part.
What kind of info are you looking for? At one time they knew alot of Buffalo/western NY hotrodders...If you come to the show, you can jaw abit with the oldtimers......I know for certain they used to hang with a club called the Clutch Artists....and participate in their events.

I wrote quite a few of the articles for the magazine we are publishing for the 50th anniversary. Brush did the artwork (outstanding as usual!). We should have the magazine ready in a couple of weeks. If you PM me your address, I'll send you one by mail.
The club was started by two brothers who had emigrated from Britain back in the early 50's. They connected with a 'kid' in the nedighborhood that had an Ardun powered A. It just grew from there...............you can read the rest in the magazine.
