Technical 1965 Falcon Steering Problem

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by Memphis235, Sep 4, 2014.

  1. Went to move the Falcon today, I have not driven it in a few months, just move it around the garage and driveway occasionally. Instead of the steering wheel turning, the steering wheel and rod appear to be backing out (1.5") while turning counter clockwise and tightening when turning clockwise. Front wheels are not moving much. Any ideas, help please. Thanks

if the steering wheel is moving the big nut on the box is loose you will probable need to remove the box and rework it

  3. Thanks, didn't think I would get off easy on this one. Car has been problem free up until now.
