Does anybody have opinions for Gennie shifters.
I am taking my ratchet shifter out and putting a Gennie in with my C6, any suggestions or ideas?
    Thanks

Unless they have changed, which is very possible, they are a good shifter. Not as high quality as Lokar but you don't have to deal with their dumb push****on deal.

I've bought the first generation shifters with the solid handles and like the fact that it didn't rattle like the Lokar shifters.

I haven't bought the new Dual shifters that can be operated with or without the ****on to see if they rattle.

Been running mine since 1987. Parts were available last year, guess they still might be.

Love my Gennie in my Fleetline. Thinking about maybe getting a longer handle for it.

I've used both with no complaints. I like Gennies method of unlocking ( pull left ) better than Lokars ****on.

My RPU has used a Gennie Shifter for 19 years. It still works perfectly, just as it did the day I installed it. It's the one thing on the car that never gives me a problem. When Tom Phipps owned the company, the quality was impeccable. I should know. My shop did all the machine work for him. He was tough to please. Hopefully, those standards have been maintained.

My '32 got one of Tom's first production Gennie Shifters. It was a suprise gift from my wife. She had been listening to me for weeks describing a new shifter that was about to be released and relating how I would like to have one. Without my knowledge she had been in phone contact with Tom who asked her questions about my build. I thought it strange that she was taking such an interest by making inquiries about what the car would have for an engine/trans/etc. but p***ed it off as just finally taking an interest in my world. She said that she though the phone bill to California probably equaled the price of the shifter by the time it actually arrived. There are a thousand reasons why I love that woman and every time I put the sedan in gear I'm reminded of one of my favorites.

10+yrs with no issues. Don't like the Lokar with ****on, Gennie has a simple gate pattern
