Performance Coatings of Jonesboro, Ga (just south of Atlanta) does some of the best powder coating in the business. They don't do chrome, but may be able to suggest someone in the area. I have know the Mobley brothers that own it (Terry and Jerry) since they were 10 and 12 years old. Tell them George Oller sent you.
In Va there's J&J Powdercoating or Royal Silver has EXCELLENT chrome platin Posted using the Full Custom H.A.M.B. App!
I was *very* happy with chrome and powdercoating done by Advanced Plating in Nashville, TN. Not cheap, but you get what you pay for. http://www.advancedplating.com/site/
I have had good luck with powder coating in Pensacola, until I got a 53 Merc dash part done. It was spherical and they were inconsistent with the flake and it warped. Other wise over the years they have been good. I think my Merc Bumpers are going to advance in TN, because I cant find anything that reputable here on the gulf coast.
I polished some Olds W manifolds and Speedway door hinges and had Performance Coatings do them in silver, not chrome, but kind of a polished aluminum look. Good work.
I have been extremely happy with the work done by Advanced Plating,,proof positive they know how to make a silk purse from a sows ear. HRP
Thank you all for your replies. I am going to check some of these out. I'd talked to Rick at Rick's Powdercoating in Tenn, and he declined after saying the parts will "outgas"when he put them in the oven. Says 400 degrees makes the cast metal cause bumps on the surface. The shop in Pensacola, can I get the name. Maybe if I bought one of those raygun, computer style parts maker things to pop out some pieces that I can replace whenever they start degrading.... shozzzbott! paint and go.
