It is great to see a write up of a northwest car! Who was responsible for the photos taken at the Hot Rod Eruption Drags in Washington? Great stuff @J.Ukrop !!!

X2 on featuring a N.W. car but it's also great that it's Ray's car. Ray's a great guy and he's photographed a lot of really great cars so it's really cool to have someone do a little story and photos of his for a change.

Thanks for all the kind words everyone. I wouldn't own this car without the help of all my friends. It was more like a barn raising than a car build. I am really humbled by this post.

Here is a shot of the tunk art.
Nico really outdid himself on this project. All done using one shot paint, a tiny brush and a free hand.

Love those COUPES; but I am biased! I've got to make it down to that little track also. Maybe we'll bring my nephew, Brandon's, "Chicken Coupe" (it sat in a barn for about 37 years), a 1951 Chevrolet Business Coupe (a real one at that). Nice car, nice article, and nice family. I am Butch/56sedandelivery.

Man I really like your car. It's got that old look that is so popular with drag racers.

On a side note the more I read and see cars that guys have sprayed with the Plasti paint that simply peels off whenever you get tired of the color the more impressed I am.

I watched a guy spray his car in his driveway without covering the area under the car and then he started spraying over the chrome and lights and I was wondering what the hell he was doing.

After he was done spraying the car he just peeled the paint off the tail lights and chrome trim.

For a about two hundred dollars including the spray gun the car looked great and you don't need 20 years of experience to spray the paint.
