what a beautiful effect. do u know where this paint can be purchased? i googled it, but to no avail..
Aw, anything for you and George! I wish I had 2 more for Al and Toni! This show was a blast. Mac and I just got out cars home and we are TIRED. I think it's the post show depression setting in.
Not a problem! Here are a few pics I shot before my batteries died. (And when I remembered that I had a camera.) Not as fancy as Dave and Aarons, but a few more none the less! =) http://www.flickr.com/photos/ragdollcustoms/sets/72057594049113753/
Hey Dave cool pictures!!I'd rather see Ginger than you though..Oh by the way..............First place Mild Kustom Baby!!!!..........it caught me by surprise..couple of my friends called me on my cell to let me know.I was at the north forty when I was called for the award..I guess FLAKE is GOOD!!!
Dave-Thanks for the quick pix. Limey-Local shop but........I will save telling who painted the Caddy until after they fix a couple major items. I think we all know how that goes. Live and learn. Willie-Congrads on the award, glad we had a good signal in the building.
i want that thing, all polished alumium! some of the old campers are so cool (the shit that is made today is so bland by comparison)
Thanks for the pics. When did you take the pics? I was there Sunday morning, and I don't remember a couple of those cars. I wonder if a couple of people split early. Anyways, I have a few more pics I can add when I get home to my computer, but my camera crapped out after only taking 5 pics. I thought I put fresh batteries in before I left home. Guess they weren't as fresh as I thought... I feel your pain RagDoll.
We got in early on Friday, most of them were taken before the show opened to the public. I don't think anyone was able to leave early tho....it was a BIG show, I probably didn't see all of it either!
Congrats Willie!! wannabe, I took some pics THursday during set-up, and the rest Saturday. I 'thought' I charged my battery, but I got ONE picture out of it on Sunday! Thank goodness for Dave and Aaron!
PhatCaddy, i talked with Dave yesterday & he told me of your trouble......what a bitch after all that work.....still i hope they sort it & do the body justice! the main reason i asked was cos i remember hearing Gene Winfield was interested in painting it. Willie congrats & hope to see you later this year. Kev.
It was a big show. And it's a damn good one too! I went to the Grand National Roadster Show last year, and to be honest, it's surprisingly small and genuinely not as satisfying as the San Francisco show. I'm glad we have that here in the area. So kudos to the guys who run it. I kept hearing over the loud speaker that it is teh biggest show on the west coast, and I believe it. It was refreshing to see so many trad cars out among the high rollers. That being said, it is likely I simply missed a car or two. Glad I could see them here. As for the camera, I guess it's just the hazard of moving up to the digital age. If I'd taken my old 35mm, it would have cost me 12 bucks to get the film developed with a CD, but my batteries definitely wouldn't have died. Oh well... Thanks A32Flathead.
Yea, lots to see at the show. There was also an impressive area for American Graphitti fans. That was the biggest collection of posters and photos I had ever seen.
Thanks for all the kind words folks...as for batteries for the camera...I ALWAYS have a pocket full of the damm things, specially at shows. If you use AA ones, get the 36 pack of Duracell's at Costco for $12.00, its about a years worth of shots for me.
I'm so bummed that i missed it, i wasn't able to see my old car there, it was the freshly flaked and paneled green galaxie, alex, the guy i traded it to did an amazing job...
Thanks...........Gave me something to do...not much into those indoor shows though. The award made it worth while.....aloha
Thanks Kev.........to bad you guys not here.ESPECIALLY TRACY!!! Take care hope to see you soon....aloha
Thanks for the pics. Congrats on the win willie! Man...the cotton displays crack me up all the time...
