Saw this yesterday at the drag strip. It's a iron head 289 for stock eliminator. It ran 11.80s. Can't figure out how to load the video.

There is one out here in Commiefornia, been around forever!!With the big slicks I would say Super Stock as Stock is only allowed a 9" slick!! Nice looking 64,love it with no billboards or stickers!!! ROY.

That car is awesome in so many ways. It is also a factory 271 hp car. 6 figure DSO and paperwork to prove. This is a real deal factory 271hp 1964 Comet with factory 3.89 gears.....

It is a real 271hp car. the engine code does not matter in '64. this car has the 6 figure DSO and factory 3.89 gears.... Yes it is real......

I do not know what happened to this site, but it has changed. have not been on here for quite some time. I commented on the blue '64 Cyclone, not the red one. (being a factory 271hp car)

Dan;I'm confused, which Comet [post #?] are you talking about? I'm not having any issues with the site,I did like the old format better but this one works for me! ROY.

Roy, Thats funny even though I will be using one of them myself. Maybe his new engine builder is encouraging him, as you know from experience running a stick with any kind of good power takes huge effort on a continuous basis. A race automatic and converter, needs fluid changed often and top of line shifter so gears engage proper. Are they cheaper? Not really! Ask me I know...........Al

Yes, I remember he mentioned a year ago about painting to match Jardine car. At T-Bolt reunion he also talked on a new car, a more race version but was torn between doing another 64 or 65 model. It will be done right whatever it ends up being and finished much quicker than mine, I'm approaching 7 and half years. Hell I'm getting old...LOL.......Al
