20140505_143448 (800x450).jpg 20140505_142352 (800x450).jpg I joined last year but never introduced myself. In the begining of the spring, I bought a stock 53 chevy. I love the car but am fighting with myself about selling it. I want to tear it apart and hot rod it but it might be to nice of a stock car to tear up. here are some pictures 20140527_124316 (800x450).jpg

  2. Wellcom to the HAMB!
    Glad you finnaly got involved.
I will admit I am very opinionated so here goes!
Your car is killer, looks great..stock.
Get in the spirit of the HAMB, and do traditional things to it.
    Just a couple scenarios.
    1. You are a rich kid in '53 and just bought the car new.
Take a look here and find the stuff that was available
in 53 to hop up your car, like a split dual exhaust, dual carbs
or even a tripple side draft set up from a 53 Vette. (BIG $$$)
Loose the hub caps, chrome exhaust, you get it.
    2. It's 1959, you are 19, and grandma just gave you her old car!
    You find a 283 or even a 348 and a 4 speed, a set of Torque Thrusts
dual exhaust, what ever you could get in'59.
the whole point is to pick a time you like and add stuff
to the car to change it to what you want it to be in the time period you pick.
I would leave the body and even the interior just the way it is.
You don't havew to cut up, modify and paint and interior a car to make it cool.
I could come up with more!!!
One more thing. Whatever you do... loose the ss visors over the side windows!.
    they were never cool!
    good luck and welcome again,
    Tony

    Also new here...my thoughts.
Well, it's already been restored so do what you want to make it yours.
Old Fart Advise...keep all the stuff you change, there will be a next owner and it will be appreciated.
