Is there anything out there in the way of plug boot heat protection besides the big ugly fibergl*** socks? My plug boots are like a beer tab thickness from the headers.
Could try the aluminum shields that are on newer cars and trucks like 3800 v6 and also LS in gm trucks . Posted using the Full Custom H.A.M.B. App!
A**cell makes some thick Silicone boots on a few of their kits. I have some that actually touch the tubes and they have held up.
I have Taylor Spiro Pro on the SBC in my 40. They don't touch the headers, but darn close. No sign of a problem after 15,000 miles
Those ceramic ended wires seem to be the business. But they don't look traditional...duh. http://www.sears.com/search=accel 9...direct=true&viewItems=50&redirectType=CAT_REC
I've got MSD right angle booted wires on there now. I've had somepeople say they've had them lay on the header and got by, but others say they developed resistance and misfired even though the boot didn't look all that bad.
