Hello all I'm starting a 59 Chevy wagon project and it's going to be a big change for me as I'm used to building muscle/pro-touring cars. This build I want to try and build the ultimate family cruiser as I now have 2 kids and big hp cars are not my priority anymore! I'm starting out with a fairly decent 59 brookwood that came from Montana and is fairly complete just missing some trim and small exterior pieces. I have never seen another wagon here in manitoba so parts are not going to be easy to track down and everybody in my car circle thinks I'm absolutely crazy for building a wagon! I know I'm in good company on this forum as there's some pretty sweet cars on here from the few days I've been looking. I will post some pics up soon once the snow melts and I can see the car again! hey man, welcome! you're right, this is the site to come to, a near endless wealth of information. pics of the wagon, dig the long roof n flat fins lol what sort of look are you going for with the brookwood?
Thanks for the welcome! What style for the brookwood you ask! Well I'm not 100% sure yet! Right now I'm leaning towards a air ride setup with a nice set of 20" wheels and a LS style engine. A real cruiser I can have the family hop into and head to the lake. Probably just finish and cruse with it in a colour matched primer for awhile until all the bugs are worked out! My past projects have taken on a life of there own and turned out un-drivable and show only then I get tired of it then end up selling. I really want to stay away from that happening! I chose the brookwood model as I didn't really want to dig into a nomad or impala and have the die hard crowd freak out that I devalued a real cl***ic! Lol Posted using the Full Custom H.A.M.B. App!
