The Road Agents Car Club has collectively decided to take a breather on producing this year’s Hot Rod Rumble in July. We have a little over a half dozen members in the club and as many of you already know, a lot of us are involved in outside projects and jobs that have become increasingly successful and are taking priority. We felt that if each member could not put in 100% to make the show the best possible, that it would be in everyone’s interest to forego it for this year. However, the good news is, we have already secured next years show dates. They will be July 20 & 21 2007 at the same location it has always been. Mark your calendars now! We look forward to catching up with many of you this season. Thanks for the support!

That's some real lousy news you had to give us, but you guys bust your ass every year to pull it together and I guess everyone deserves a break. I know for one, I will miss it this year cause that is the absolute best show on the entire east coast, but my calendar is already marked for next year. I'll just have to catch all you guys around other events this summer.
How about we meet in the back corner of the hotel parking lot on that friday night anyways, just so the natives don't miss us too much????;)

  7. Man thats too bad. We had three rods we were getting ready for this year's show :D. Its the best show on the east coast though so we'll just have to wait. You guys do an awesome job of putting that show together. See you in '07!

I can understand why you guys need a break. Putting on an event like that requires an unbelievable amount of work. Looking forward to next year!

Sorry to hear this. The roadster was ready for the show this year. You guys will do it right next year I'm sure.

  13. I'm sure glad everyone is taking this well and not getting down on the Agents. With seven members if you apply the normal "club math" the work at different stages falls on 10-20% of the members. The rod and bile world has been very good lately to many of the members in their publishing, painting, chassis, etc. businesses and let's face it - they have mortgages to pay and mouths to feed.

The run is very expensive to put on, as anyone involved in a run can understand (advertising, bands, security, insurance, food, bands, etc.. And after those expenses the left over money was put aside to make the next year's event even better (you don't have to go further than this thread to hear the compliments expressed as broken hearts.)

A year off will not kill any one, and then again it won't make anyone happy. Believe me the Agents have been agonizing over this more than we will ever know and I'm sure it's no easier on them than it is on us. It will make us appreciate their event that much more and make the 2007 Rumble the biggest and best ever.

Thanks for the past Rumbles and we're all looking forward to a big blow out in 2007!!

When doe sthe Days Inn start taking reservations;)

Oh man. That is the only show I look forward to that is remotely close to me (NH). I understand, but I'm still bumed.

I'll see you in '07 though. You guys put on a hell of a show. I had no idea there were only seven of you guys! Makes me apreciate the quality of the show that much more.

I want to thank all the Road Agents for the past hard work and while we will miss the show this summer, I know it must have been quite an effort to pull all that together, so get some needed rest and we will be there in 07.

Good idea, maybe it should be made a "sticky" at the top...

Dave don't get excited I'm not talking about the kind of sticky like between pages in your "Barely Legal".

The hotel manager of the Wellesly has just renewed his faith in God.

Sucks for the rest of us though
