What an amazing event! The predictions have come true and this was the largest turn out ever. The weather was perfect for the 120 race cars and over 1000 spectators that showed up at Riverdale Raceway in Toutle, WA for the Billetproof Hot Rod Eruption Drags. The staging lanes were packed all day long with amazing and very fast cars. Enjoy the pictures of the 2014 Hot Rod Eruption Drags and make plans for 2015.

Big thanks to the Estranged Car Club of Portland for showing up in force and bringing some amazing cars to race, including this dragster which had sat in a junk yard for 20 years until an Estranged member brought it back to life and brought it to Billetproof for its public debut.

Great photos. Looked like a fun time. Any more info on that gold 55 gasser? That thing can't be any cooler.

BIG thanks to Carylyn and Michael Wonser for letting me make a pass in their real deal survivor Bantam Altered. Its a low 6 second car, but not with me in it. I'm so huge I had to wedge my knees in between the steering wheel and the cage, which only allowed me about 1/4 turn on the wheel. If it got out of shape there was no way for me to wrestle it back in line, so I took it easy. Still a thrill ride though.

This was a STUNNING car. Was a Street Rodder cover car. Detailed to the hilt from every angle... and the best part is the owner HAMMERED it down the track. Show AND lots of GO. Fast car.

The gold '55 belongs to Lonnie Gilbertson, I did the chassis/roll cage. It was on the Jan 2014 Street Rodder cover. Here is the link to the article.

I had an absolute blast! I made 5 runs and met some really cool people.

Thanks Steve (couverkid) and Robbie Davis for letting me park my car in the Estranged C.C pit area for the night. I really appreciated that.

Looks like a great event and sorry I missed it this year, That's my buddies 1956 corvette, the red and white one with the blown small block, he has owned that car over 35 years.
