PLYDO #3.jpg PLYDO #4.jpg PLYDO #5.jpg PLYDO #1.jpg PLYDO #2.jpg I have for sale a 1948 Plymouth Special Deluxe Sedan. I purchased this car in the fall of 2011 as a craigslist survivor with 48000 original miles and factory paint. I was able to make it run and drive with no more than a float bowl.
The next year and a half was spent doing the following modifications:
    · 4” frame raise from firewall forward
    · Freshly built 1970 318. Purple cam, 650 Holley, Edelbrock intake, Pertronix ignition
    · 46RH (518) Overdrive transmission (69:1 overdrive)
    · Full front, back, side to side air ride 2500 bags front, 2600 bags rear
    · 8.8 Ford explorer rear axle w/ 3.55 gears
    · Heavy Duty four link rear suspension
    · 1990 Jeep Cherokee power brake booster, master cylinder, and new lines
    · Scarebird front disk brakes
    · Speedway aluminum radiator
    · Engine driven air compressor (twin cylinder Mopar) Makes 5 Gal @ 125 psi in 38 seconds
    · Raised tunnel 4” and installed a custom full length console with a B&M shifter
    · Custom overhead console with CB and Pioneer blue-tooth and hands free radio
    · Grey leather front and rear seats. Front buckets (Interior from a 1998 Olds Intrigue)
    · Full 12 volt conversion to include Newport wiper drive
    · 1949 Fulton Sunray visor

This is just a short list of upgrades, customizations, and personal touches. I have personally driven this car from Des Moines Iowa to Las Vegas NV, Little Rock AR, Kansas City MO, Woodstock Il, Omaha Ne, and many many trips all over the mid west. This is a true turn-key driver. There is still plenty of potential for your own personalization, but for me this car is just perfect the way it is. It completes every task I throw at it and looks good doing it. Why sell it you say? I love the hunt the build and the challenge, when it finally comes down to just maintaining the car I built its time to move on to a new challenge.
I have maintained a meticulous record of every part I used to build this Plymouth. This record will be given to the purchaser in case there was ever a problem. I have not added up the total of the parts in this record for I know my asking price is lower than the materials cost alone. If I were to figure in the cost of my own labor I would never be able to sell this. See what you think and let me know.
TRADES? I would be interested in a partial trade for a 1991-1998 Dodge 2500 or 3500 dually with the 12v ***mins. Other than that pre 1963 cars trucks vans may be considered.
    Thanks for looking- Sam 515-7O7-3455
