    HELP!
I have a sweet running 1956 Desoto 330 Hemi that came out of a 1950's something Dodge Dump truck? I'm guessing that this was an old junk yard swap using available Mopar stuff back in the day . Still installed on the engine is the cast iron bell housing, flywheel, starter, pressure plate, disk, throwout bearing, & clutch arm - everything except the dump truck transmission.

The recent 2014 Hot Rod Hill Climb in George Town Colorado has caused me to move my 32 Chevy roadster project up in priority so I can attend next year. I will build the roadster & rolling chassis around the Hemi engine & transmission combo.

My question is what is the path of least resistance & expense to put a transmission behind the Hemi. Is there a manual Mopar that would bolt up? If so what year, make, model should I look for. I would also like to have overdrive, if I can find it for the road trip from Phoenix AZ.

I have various Chevy automatics (400, 700r4, 200-4r) and a Chevy close ratio 4spd in my stash of goodies. In addition, I also have working old ford transmissions (39 top shift, and 40s/50's something 3 speed w/OD sideshift) but lack flywheels, starters, and clutch stuff for these.

Your comments and suggestions will be most welcome.
