1936 Ford Pickup, SBC, short water pump, original axle-suspension. I am in the process of installing a Saginaw power steering gear and a pump. Seems that since I am using the Hurst front motor mount that the brackets for a PS pump are difficult to figure out. Any help? Its tight in there....

Modify existing bracket or alternatively, a 56 Corvette mount that attaches via water pump bolts. You could Hurst style mount out with thick bosses to give the required clearance but that would mean moving the engine mounts forward. Might be too far forward to achieve desired clearance that is required. You wouldn't be running a mechanical fuel pump? Alan Grove does a few brackets including 55-7 front mount style. I will give it a try. Not using mech. fuel pump, but I am using an original "Hurst" mount.

    Thanks for your input.
