I'm interested in this coating. KBS coatings Xtreme Temperature Coating
I'm wondering how well it would hold up to the demands of header and exhaust coating.
For the lake headers and exhaust on my RPU, my first plan was to ceramic coat the whole thing however this stuff has me curious.
Anyone here who has tried it ?
Or even be willing to try it and give us a report ? :)
I'm still in the fab stage so it would be a while before I could try it.
    Larry.

I believe this is a new product for them so would not be much actual use reports yet. I have the rust seal paint on my frame, been on for three years now and is still nice, it is hard and very UV ray resistant, so if this heat paint has any of the components of the rust seal I'd say it was good.

  3. i used some on a set of SBC ram horns following the instructions EXACTLY. they were sand blasted first , cleaned with acetone , then the coating was brushed on . then i baked them in an oven to cure. ( good thing i don't have a wife). after cooling i applied an additional coat and re-baked them. there was actually very little smell during the curing process. i used the black in a one pint can and the coverage was great , i have enough left over for another pair

the end result is the coating seams to be very durable , and has held up well... that's my experience , others may differ

also...i used their motor coater on the block and heads , and i was very impressed
