UPDATE: I've been hovering over this project for months, I almost bought this van before the Vulture snatched it. Now as of today its mine! The Vultch did all the paint work and finshed the top up, we put a new windshield in today at his shop. See my friend is one of those talented body guys that's just got more projects than hours, he's on to a slammed 60 Chev pickup that is lookin real nice. Me, I've got more time for the mechanical stuff, so I will finish this up and be ready for cruisin this spring. So from one HAMB member to another, the van stays in the "family".
I may continue to post on this thread, just to keep ya up-dated. In the mean time, I am looking for some goodies for the project- a battery box lid, one good cargo door outside handle, and I'm thinking about a stock radio since the dash is drilled for one....anybody?

I bought this van from finger a little over a year ago and have been very busy with it.

    Brand new 200 ci engine
    new exhaust
    Repaired all the rusty floors
    Re-chromed handles and bezels
    rewire
replaced rusty frame from the roof vent

Currently working on sound deadening it
    interior panels

    To do:
    dearch springs
    cragar wheels
    rhino line floor
    reupholster seats
    and on and on...

    pictures to follow...

This looks great, I had one of these in the Falcon version with a small block Chevy. (hence my screen name)

mine had the "hippy vent," and it sure helped on hot summer days. also had a leaky sunroof, which i sealed with some trunk rubber. the sunroof was great on sunny winter days because the heater would either warm my feet or keep the windshield defrosted--guess it was the long, exposed heater hoses!
