    I'll try to.

I have 2400 hours of my own labor having done all metal, paint and upholstery. Love driving it.

It doesn't get much prettier than a 39 or 40 Ford.

    Pure eye candy.

I hope this turns into a long thread.

Here's the one I SOLD ........and the new owner.....he lurks here......but never posts.......

I talked with him the other day at Dennis Carpenter's old Ford store.....he said the old 40 coupe has almost 5 thousand more miles on the odometer
( in the 1 year since he bought it ) and he had a great time in Daytona with it.

I was buying a parts manual and he was getting wheel cylinders..for the 40

A flathead backed by a LaSalle transmission. He sold it to a buddy in about '59,
then in '98 or so he got it back. The car was in the exact same spot that my
grandfather had dropped it off at 40 yrs before. My dad had to cut down a tree
that had grown up between the bumper & trunk to move it.

Here is one of my truck a few weeks ago. The second is a sneek peek at the fresh paint. Still have more touch up on the flames and pin striping. Mr. Myers is working in shifts to try and help out. I'll post a bunch of pics when I get her finished up.
