I got a lead today on a guy that I was told had some Cadillac Flatheads. I don't know much about them. Can anyone tell me what to look at if the lead pans out. Thanks

I presume you mean V8? Very unique as exhaust ports are on on top of engine unlike SV Fords. Transmission Adapters (Bensteads) make kits to bolt up late model transmissions

Here's some reading on Facebook and Wikipedia.
Not exactly light as cast iron and larger capacity that FH Ford V8. Performance parts are rare and expensive.
Earlier HAMB post, 699lb-v-550lb, another HAMB thread.
Egge I believe have the parts to refurbish 346s but by the time you finish, it is not a cheap rebuild.

I talked to the guy today. He said that he does not know for sure what is all in the old shop motor wise. He said that his dad was into auto salvage and parts. From the 40's to the 60's. He said that he would pull the motors and transmissions and put them in this one shop that's on the place. He told me that if there is a motor. There should be a transmission to go with it. It was all completely pulled together. He is pretty old himself. An is going to try and get with me to look at the stuff. So it might turn out to be a pretty good place.
