One of mine too. I know Cole's a good guy, seems like the Young feller is alright too.

I wish I had Cole's hair, heck, I wish I had my own hair - is that weird?

Replying to that post does as much to sustain the Drama as that post does.

    The man does beautifull work.
    He has my respect.

How much he gets paid for it is none of my business.
Or anybody else's for that matter...

Susan is not only gorgeous, but a hell of a nice person,too....we had an invitation from her while she was still in Tx at PHRTV, but couldn't make it....

  6. Just curious; is there some sort of HAMB 2006 Ignorant Opinion of the Year competition going on? If so I guess I better get cracking, there's only 11 1/2 months left to top that one.

Cole's bikes are ginchy, his gal is hot, his hair is silky and manageable. And dats da name of dat tune.

And oh yeah Nads -- I still owe you that Colt 45.

I wasn't going to add to this but, I had to. Cole, I never met ya (yet) and I have talked to you via messages on the hamb. You have always said the door is open to me to check out yer place of work and I will still take that invite. As for those that have enough balls to even say shit about you, they would love to be in yer shoes doing what ya love to do and get paid. I don't see yer ass in a million dollar home? The last time that I can remember is that you are living out of yer shop! So I don't think that you are making the big bucks that all seem to think you are and it is a long life passion that you get paid for. It seems that they are coming to you for yer workmanship and not yer so called high prices. Ya got to make a living or ya wouldn't be doing it as a job, right? Rob, you crack me up from what I read. Got me to laugh. Cole, can't wait to meet ya. Maybe stop by yer shop while going to the 'Paso show? Let me know. KNUX!

I didn't want to reply (like others) but feel like I got to stand up for Cole. Yes, yes I'm from Salinas, but that has nothing to do with it. His work is unbelievable! Believe me I've seen the 36 before it was a three window, in bare metal, and in paint, and that sucker is amazing. Cole's work is awesome, and he's not to bad of a guy... when we wanted to shoot his blue car, I had never met him, but I went in there showed and talked to him about what we're all about and he was more than glad to bring out his car, bike, and customer's car for us to shoot... all on a sunday afternoon. Yes he could of told us to leave him alone, or come back when we had something... but he didn't.

Cole, East Salas has your back holmes! ...haha...

ps. and yes Susan is a looker, and a very nice person!

    Cole,
Passion fuels me also, not so much money, althlough it does help pay for the castings=Lol!
Both you and Hank did a great job on the build of the those bikes.
I really liked the way that yours was set up & thought "what a clean look/design as well the whole paint scheme".
I liked the early bike & car influence that was ultilized by Hank as well as the springer front end & head light. "I've just got a thing for those springer front ends" (must be from my apple crate 5 spd days;) )
I will say that most of those "Biker Build Off "shows generally don't have the type of bike that I like seeing as well as the visual riding shots. This show had 2 great people who build bikes/cars as well as great scenery!
I don't know what part of the coast that you rode down, but it looked like it would sure make for a nice roadster ride:D.
I feel that it should have been a tie!!!!!!! Job well done!!!!!

"Sellling out" or "cashing in" on action figures is totally acceptable.....IF you continue building cool shit. Money just makes it more fun to be in the shop..... Grab the cash Cole, get your tshirts, hats, toys, and cologne in Walmart....market, market, market....it could all stop tomorrow.

They did in Matt Hotch's case...

As for Cole, it helped solidify his role in the custom bike world and put his name (and hair) into the homes of people all over the world. I think two weeks w/o pay was a small price to pay. He's still reaping the benefits, as this here post obviously proves (except from hemiembarrased's viewpoint).

Skumbag, this place is kinda like a house party, well it was, and here comes donnie who's been sitting in the corner and all of a sudden decides he wants to diss someone who's been dutifully giving beer bongs to all. It's just not cool, especially because there's no sign that fucking donnie even so much as bought a bag of Doritos to the shindig.

Cole's paid his dues, cole deserves some goddamn respect, and before anyone disses on him they need to show the magnificence of their own work before opening their big fat traps.

I've never met cole in my life, but I consider him a friend and he's been someone I've looked up to for years and years. I wish I was cole and I've said it before if I had my life to live over again I would have dedicated it 100% to one of two things, music or cars. Instead I dabbled in everything and never learned the fine art of sticktoitiveness, hence everything I do comes out halfassed, this cannot be said of cole. I'm not saying I'm not having a good time, but I can say that I've never reached the levels of nirvana that's only possible through blind dedication.

It's kinda like religion I suppose, and I'm not all that religious.

So once again, with all due respect, donnie can go fuck himself.

Yeah, seriously... the guy wasn't flipping him any shit, he was just asking a question.

Seems like, discovery would be able to justify not helping out because if the builder chooses to sell the bike to cover his own expenses, we would probably get a whole lot more of it, due to the publicity it would get because of them.

I remember reading something in garage magazine about Cole, something along the lines of, "everything I build, I build with style.. no gimmick or trends, just good taste and style." And it's true if you look at it all. Not trying to give you a handjob over the internet or anything, I just have an appreciation for the amount of thought that goes into a well re-designed car.

Nevermind the bikes, the 3-window and his beautiful girl - I need some tips for getting my hair to look like that... wow!!

Seen the episode, the bike was fantastic. I did think it deserved to win. And I've seen Cole's posts on here, he seems to be a down to earth guy that is doing what he wants - and feels lucky and humble. How could you not like the guy? And you don't get the toys if you don't get paid, can't blame him for making a dollar off of his skillset. I wish I was so fortunate.

So... is it V05 or Grecian Formula? Inquiring minds want to know.

V05 is old man's hair conditioning cream.

Grecian Formula is old man's hair coloring.

That was neither negative nor talking shit. Actually, along with simply being more along the lines of a correction, it was to point out that Cole is not "old". Ease off the Gas pal...

His partner bailed...with the business. Discovery had nothing directly to do with it, but you might say that being on the series and winning both years affected Matt in a way that did. He's still around, but Hot Match is no longer Matt Hotch.

I miss a lot of things these days...and I haven't smoked weed in years! (honest)

Run the chrome dome, man. No hair is better than faux hair. With the exception of Ted Danson, it's pretty hard to pull off implants, plugs, or rugs adequately.

Thats a funny story. Some friends and I saw the episode where he did the biker build off and was talking about having hair in the top 5 of all builders. So just for fun, at the Paso Robles show, we found him and asked him to sign a comb, an inside joke for the one of the friends who couldn't go with us. You should've seen the look on his face when we asked him to sign a comb. His response was, "what? I'm not signing a comb, come back to my booth and I'll give you an autographed photo." We said, but you said you had the best hair in the industry. His wife, was standing behind him and started cracking up. He kinda got mad for a minute and said, I never said I had the best hair. Almost as if he'd caught some shit for saying that. Then I replied, yeah, but you said you were in the top 5. He looked at me, smirked and said shit gimme the comb. After he signed the comb he said, damn I need a comb I lost mine. The ones we bought came in a 2 pack, so we offered the second one to him, and he says, "is it used?" I assured him it wasn't, then he stood up and said, "thats too bad, I like um used." Then walked off. Kind of corny I suppose, but it made for a cool story and a good laugh when we got home and gave our buddy the comb.
