Well keep us posted, cause that is one sharp looking Chevy. A local guy had one similar to that, but not nearly as nice.I'm totally jealous,so when you get the motor in the car,and get it running,be sure to post video so I can live vicariously through you Scott Posted using the Full Custom H.A.M.B. Ive been watching this slow progress build. It's getting slow close to moving under its own power. It's painful to watch. My project on the other hand is moving even slower damnit!. I work all seven days a week during the summer so no time for car stuff.but winter is coming that's when I will get my *** in gear. I hope to see video of this car soon. Robert, Have you found the time or the stray bucks to get your clutch squared away yet? I know it ain't easy,I'm in the same boat as far as limited cash flow due to life's other commitments Scott Posted using the Full Custom H.A.M.B. App!
Finding the time and money needed to finish a project is never easy. With everything else going on today money and just about everything else is hard to come by. Jimbo
Actually I have found the money and ordered my clutch ***y. and waiting for it to arrive so I can face lifes next challenge. It will happen.
I love this car ,I have followed this build from went it was white , I loved it then also...Question , what kind of parts do you need now , I have all the transmission and clutch parts ,including a Doug-Nash four plus one . Let me know what you need.....
Aaahh....I read ya.Trying to get a few volunteers together to help put the trans in the car?Been there. Scott Posted using the Full Custom H.A.M.B. App!
Yeah I need help with putting the engine and trans. in the car. Polish some stainless. And buy some back wheels.
If you could consider doing it yourself, a little want too goes a long way, whether you know exactly what to do or not, if one is physically able.
Hey, LB? I know what to do but my friend is in Bakersfield with the parts, he's supposed to come down here and help me put it together because I'm a disabled American veteran and it's not easy alone. And I don't have the funds to buy the parts twice or I would.
Ok I just got word from my friend Greg Jacobsen who I have been friends with since 11th grade Auto Shop (which was the whole premise of this build that we do it together like we used to) who has a shop (Performance Head Development in Bakersfield) that there is an ANRA race being held at Famoso around the holidays and he wants the car running so we can show it and maybe make a few p***es. So it will be going to his shop soon. I'll work out the dates and keep everybody watching this lengthy build posted.
Gotcha, Just tryin to encourage you is all, Thanks for your service and good luck on getting the 55 finished up, looks like you are so close.
Thx LB, it was my pleasure. Now well, I'm limping pretty bad but I would never change a thing. We are close so it should be done soon.
