    Wouldn't a 1964 correctly (originally) be a center-oiler? The side-oiler was introduced in the 1965.

The owner of the original car is a member here.... Very nice car but I never understood why someone built a tribute to a car that still exists and is restored? Seems to me it would cause some confusion.

I've seen that car race back in the day at Detroit Dragway. Enjoy it!

I was at Carlisle in 2004 when the Tribute car showed up along with the Original,it was an ugly few minutes!!!It sounds like things mellowed out and the Tribute was accepted!!! ROY.

Like I said it is a very nice car. Hope you enjoy it. I just made a statement that cloning a car that already exists may cause confusion which it already did in the brief time this thread has been posted. As long as it is not represented as the original then I'm cool with it. The block type doesn't bother me at all. Lots of original T-bolts ended up with side oilers as time went on. As far as sounding like a Corvette guy, there is nothing wrong with keeping history correct when it comes to historicaly significant cars. If no one worried about what was real or correct then none of it would matter. A big part of what makes factory race cars special to me is the history ***ociated with them. They aren't just a car, they are a part of racing history....

I love them T-Bolts, real, or tributes. Any who would complain about an awesome piece like this needs to ask themselves if they are a car guy or not.
I have had a picture of a white T-Bolt hanging in my garage for 30 years, with the caption "Only good Ford ever built." Who ever wrote that must have gotten beat by one. :)

  17. Your car kicks ***.... As long as YOU think the same, that's all that matters..... And I'm not even a Ford guy.

Troublemaker, that comment was not directed at you at all. Just my attempt to inject a little humor. I have had the privilege to work on # 39 and hang out with Mark a little but, you've forgoton more since you got up today than I know. Now get over to the T-BOLT thread and tell me about the car that's in National Dragster.:D
