    Hi,
I am new here. I have a stock 48 Plymouth I bought a couple of weeks ago. Has anyone put a updated rear end in their 46-48 cars? I think the width is 60" from drum to drum & the ratio is 3:90 on this stock one. Revs too high on the freeway.

Was thinking of a Ranger or Ford Explorer rear end. Not sure of their widths.

I've got a Ford 9" that came out of my '48 coupe. All set up and ready to go. New brakes. PM me if you're interested...but do an introduction first, okay.

Hey Hairbal you ain't gonna get any help with that approach.

Seems you didn't read or just ignored the sticky at the top of this page.

I suggest you go back and read it, then after you loose that stange feeling you developed right after reading it come back and apply your newfound knowledge.

Then you will get some nice Hamb welcomes. At that point jump over to the main board and post your question. Thats were you'll get plenty of help.

Not that you won't get any welcomes if you don't follow my suggestion. You probably will get some, but they will be from ones on a mission to raise their post count and don't even read your post. Or it will be from someone that has what you need for sale................:D

Jeep cherokee (xj) fits perfect you have to install perches and shock mouts but bolt pattern and width work

I got my rear end off of the donor car 77 Dodge monaco, using the slant 6 from that car, I just need to have a custom length drive shaft installed
