Hi, just bought a '38 ford truck, the front clip has been severely butchered, can I bolt a '40 front clip on the '38 cab? one more loop hole............. from a '40 car bolting to a '38 truck? I have the car front clip and I'm sure there is some metal fab to do?
i believe the car and truck frames were the same 35 thru 37 dont know if it is the same for 38 thru 41
My buddy and I found this truck a 39. With 37 car front clip and rear fenders. So you can do it I would say.
35-40 Ford cars and trucks share the same frames,so I don't see why a 40 Ford car wouldn't bolt on to your 38 truck as long as the body lines match up.
pickup clip probably, car clip, not so much. look at the shapes of the respective firewalls and hood locations on the cowls. anything is possible with enough Bondo.
I like the car clips on the 39 trucks. Looks totally factory. Posted using the Full Custom H.A.M.B. App!
