Reasonable chrome ?

I know chrome has went thru the roof, but does anyone know of a place to get a few sets of hairpins done at reasonable prices with reasonably quick turn around ?

 

Don't know of any place in particular, but I know if you do all the pre and post work it's much cheaper. If you pre and post buff the parts yourself so all the shop has to do is dip them, the price drops conciderably.

I think sun uses the tanks in Quincy and just do the polishing themselves.

There is also Quality Chrome in Sterling, IL. Ron Wiggins used them on all of his parts for his Yellow RPU. I don't think they are that fast though. I believe they do chrome for Harley and fit hot rod stuff in between runs.

 

Thanks. That Sun place told me about 2000.00 to polish not very many pieces of stainless on a 69 442 W30 I was restoring a few years ago.....so I decided never to call them again.
