I bought a 700R4 from them about ten years ago, I picked it up but no trouble with the trans.

Yup, I've bought 2 of their 200R4's and very pleased, one's in my 29 RPU and other in my 65 Impala wagon behind a 383 stroker.....Rich is a standup guy in my books......delivery schedule on my "Level II" trans (2nd one I'd bought) was 3 weeks & seems no inventory is kept on these builds, but done after ordering to your spec's......particularly like Rich's test drive protocol and warranty......

  5. You might want to add the type of transmission you are having rebuilt.

I recommend Speedway Transmission in Ontario, CA., at 909-988-9133, owned and operated by Mike Johnson, a cool nostalgia car guy who races the oval track at Irwindale Speedway. Tell Mike he was recommended by Tom, the jalopy guy.

I buy everything from here. Name is Dana, kind of THE expert on 700R4/4L60. He even answers his phone after hours.

I had them install one of their 700r4 in my '55 perhaps fifteen years ago. Maybe even longer. Still shiftin' just fine. I'd recommend 'em. I doubt anyone knows more about those particular ******s, as I doubt anyone has built as many as they have ...

I purchased a 700 from Bowtie Overdrives, installed it in the truck, and sat for several years before I actually got the truck running/driving. Once I did, everything worked just fine (even behind a 500HP 454), and I was very well supported with my TV cable questions and line pressure troubleshooting. I highly recmmend getting their TV cable bracket for the carb...it solved most of theinstallation issues I was experiencing.
