If it has a 5-1/2 inch bolt circle we make a disc brake conversion for it. Call us @ 860-872-7046

Do your friend a favor and have him find a mechanic that works on older equipment if you aren't up to speed on it yourself, which is indicated by your question. Help him with something that you are familiar with.

Brake shoes can be re-lined. Wheel cylinders can be repaired, etc. Remove and take to brake and clutch shop that specializes in re-lining, not to a run of the mill shop that only removes and replaces new parts.

Hello I have a question: I need a new power break booster for my 56 Lincoln.
I want to change the old one into one with two different circuits. Is there a Ford/Mercury break booster that will fit into the firewall?

is there anything in particular that's wrong with the brakes or are you just doing a basic brake job?
I helped a buddy with his Lincoln brakes, it was a 54 or 55. they were basically similar to ford style brakes and he go his parts thru eBay and a local mom and pop shop was able to get a few parts as well. I never had any experience with Lincoln brakes but they were simple like any other Ford set up. both of which are not as basic a gm but very do able.
    check Lincolnrestoration.com
think they have guys who did disc brake set ups.

I'd think it would be far more productive to start a new thread with the question than tack your question on a thread that has been dead and gone for five years.

I do believe that is a Treadle Vac unit and there is nothing that will replace it if it is mounted low in the toe board/firewall aera. If you are trying to go to a dual MC system you are in for a lot of fab and engineering work to make it happen. If what you have now works well leave it alone!!
