Does anyone have any pictures or know of a thread on tubbing or raising my rear wheel wells? Since changing to taller wheels on my 1950 Chevy, my Gambino'd rear sits too high! They bottom out in the wells, so I need to raise them.
    Thanks!

Somewhat-thanks! Looking for finished shots, and where to cut when the well meets the outer fender though.

I'm in the process right now of bagging my 51 and I have all of the old wheel tub cut out. It depends on how low your going. Depending on what kind of shape your current tubs are you could just cut the top off of them and shift them up. They aren't welded to the outside fenders so you don't need to worry about messing up your paint. I picked up trailer fenders and sides from finditparts. They are made by redneck trailer, F1075X32-1R and 12FB-32R, $58 shipped.

  5. I did the Gambino 4-link kit in my 54 and needed to raise my inner fenders to clear the G-78 tires. I cut the top half of the fenders out, then cut and re-fitted the tops about 4 inches higher. Then filled in the gaps with sheet metal. It wasn't
easy or fun but it worked out in the end 2013-05-04_22-51-36_730.jpg 2013-04-21_19-51-43_215.jpg 2013-08-27_14-02-41_539.jpg 2013-08-27_14-01-24_189.jpg
