Chopped '49 Ford???

I was checking out www.carnut.com and noticed this Chopped 1949 Ford. The picture was taken at last years James Dean Run, I was wondering what was the story behind this custom? What is that back glass from?

Looks like a rear hatch from a F-body(Camaro,TA,Firebird).

 

god that is tacky i would never say bad thigs about other peoples work but damn that is horrifying ... the glass looks to be 80's camaro with some bar painted in the middle

oh man that rules.... I don't know what's worse.. the glass, third brake light, spoiler thing, 4dr sedan, painted '50 rear bumper, the power antennas, the dog jerkin it on the conti kit, badass taillights, TEXAS-style echo tips, cut radial white walls, or the awesome mirrors. oh yea, I esp like how the trunk is shaved but the handles are still there.

 

This actually should be under the topic when chops go bad. It appears this once a 4 door judging by side window. Where was this show at?

Jesus, Mary, and Joseph! I think he actually converted to an actual hatchback. I was trying to figure out how the tail lights work with the trunk and I noticed everything is welded shut but I looks like the hatchback pops up at the spoiler there.

 

the windows look like they're the front windshield from an old milk truck or something along those lines.

It probably belongs to some old dude who thought he had a good idea... Unfortunately, not.

One would have to agree though, it takes just as much hard work to make an ugly custom as it does to make a kool one.
