Trying to decide what direction to go in with covering my coupe seat. I put together a reproduction of a 32 seat. Wood with metal sides. Would like to see how guys did their seats. My plan is a roll beaded aluminum interior.
Might find some ideas in here... Haven't looked through the whole thing in a while. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/threads/seats-lets-see-your-finished-seats.689674/
Here is a good thread on recycling leather off of discarded leather couches, check your local craigslist free section people put them in there for curb pickup, some of the distressed leather on these couches can supply the leather for a really cool period look: http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/index.php?posts/8191327 Posted using the Full Custom H.A.M.B. Isnt the car red oxide primer?A brown leather would be nice.I saw the body on another thread ,any reason that your not gonna paint it?
I was looking for some weathered brown leather as a matter of fact. The bodywork is a 10. I have shint cars I'm afraid to drive and want to go after a Bonneville salt flat racer look of the 50's. Thus a 54 tri power caddy motor.
