I was on the way to Sugarloaf Mountain and I spotted this on the side of the road - thought you may enjoy some pictures. I like the front end and kind of like the fins. Anyway .. hope you enjoy. Hodad
Yeah, the front looks good! Don't really like fins on pre -55 cars though... Btw, looks like it has a GM clip?
I don't know when that was built(the wheels looks 70's or 80's)but the fins appear to be 57-58 Plymouth vintage. The intriguing part is the headlight extensions:they look to be from TAP(Taylor and Art Plastics);a firm that was one of the first companies to make aftermarket fibreglass accessory parts. There was a feature(with cover shot)in Car Craft in late 1956 or early 1957.I believe they even made a grille surround similar to that also.Great find.I'd love to know some history on it.
I just snapped a picture. My wife was in a big hurry to go skiing.. so I was lucky she turned around and let me snap a few pictures. It was one of your typical dogs barking inhospitable looking places.. but who knows. I will be back in that neck of the woods in a few weeks... I will take some more shots If it is still there.. If anyone is around to talk to I will try and get a story.
