I have a pair of spindles that came with my car. One has a clear part number. Here are some pics.

I'm still trying to locate a Granada to get parts from. I remember these things being everywhere and now they are few and far between. Do the spindles and brake components have to be from a v8 car or will the bits from a 6 cyl work as well?

The spindles should be the same, I can't see them having 2 different types.

The spindle that you are showing is probably a 71 mustang. I would like to see the whole spindle. All the Granada spindles from 1975 -1980 are the same V8 or 6 cylinder. 1974 Maverick with disc brakes are the same as Granada except some times the tie rod hole is smaller. 77 and 78 Lincoln Versailles spindles are the same, except the lower ball joint hole is bigger. 1970 -73 Mustang disc brake spindles can be made to work on 1954 -1964fords, with the proper machining. If anyone needs disc brakes, spindles, I have new and used available. Dave 818 572 5302

That looks like a 61-63 T bird drum brake spindle. Dave

I'm ***uming those are bigger drums? Can they be used with discs?

These spindles can be converted to disc brakes with an after market kit, but the steering geometry will not work on 54 thru 64 fords. You will create a lot of steering problems with these spindles. Dave

Thanks for the clarification. I'll post them up locally.

Now I need to decide which disc brake swap I want to use.

I've read here on the HAMB that full size Ford spindles will work also, but you wont get the drop that you do with the Granada spindles. My understanding is that you don't need to ream the lower ball joint on those.
