Need a little advise starting a 51 truck build on a s10 frame . Going with air bags and 4 link need advise on the right rearend to use . I have the 2 wheel drive rearend but i have read that it is to narrow that the 4 wheel drive is wider. So what other choices do i have and if i have to cut one down what is a good width ?

S-10 frame is not traditional nor is it easier than redoing the original frame. Most rearends for these
trucks work out to about 61inches wide, 4 wheel drive s-10 rears are used, as are explorer rears,
Camaro rears, nova rears etc. To a large extent it will depend on the engine used and the rear tire size
as well as if you use stock or widened fenders.

TS3342 I tried this and about half way into the frame work I realize the difficulties. I drug the orginal frame back in my shop stripped it to the frame rails and started over with a new front and rear suspension etc. My orginal Reason for the S10 swap was cost but that's a false reality. I'm not posting this to tell you what you should do but offering some of my experience.
