I looked at this car at Jalopy Showdown for the past 2 years but, not by choice. It just sucks me in.... I'm sure I'll get sucked in next year too. Dustin
One of the best hot rods at the Revival. That car just nails it. I could stare at those photos all day....
Absolutely friggin' righteous. One of the best builds I've seen in a while. Ryan, your article nails the attraction to the car. New build, but just seems so old and so right. Bravo!
No doubt about it, the car is absolutely righteous and worthy of high praise in every aspect! Jerry, great to see you again man. I'm still bummed we weren't able to have you sit in Sat night, next time for sure!
Great job Jerry! What a great car. I found myself looking at it often, like I was trying to stare at a beautiful woman across the room without being caught. Ryan is right. It's a great collection of parts done tastefully! When I turned around with the Stetson gals and saw you were there I was happy it was your car (and admittedly jealous) that she got to ride with you down the track. Again, well done sir!
great build, met Jerry at revival as well and talked at length about the build. Very modest guy and had great stories about chasing down the parts to build this spectacular 3 window. I would add another very important aspect of building a fine hotrod like this, PATIENCE. Just his story of waiting on the guy to sell the valve covers exemplifies what it takes to pull off this kind of rod. Standing O my friend.
Thanks again everyone .. The car came a long way from a pile of junk Posted using the Full Custom H.A.M.B. App!
Ryan, Thanks for all the GREAT SHOTS of this KILLER HOT ROD....It is one of those that just SUCKS a guy in to it with out you knowing it. Many of us bust our butts to get this look, but few seem to be able to reach this mark. Jerry has done it hands down.......Can you tell I DIG this hot rod.....Hope to see it some day down the road.
Years ago one of early mentors had a word for cars just like this one. Every once in awhile he would just stand and look at a particular car and after a moment or two he would half whisper "honest" in an almost reverent tone. I asked him what exactly he meant and he simply said, "once in awhile you see one of these creatures that just makes you keep your mouth closed because if you say anything you are in danger of demeaning it's presence". The stance, the proportions, the details! The story that it's telling through it's visuals is amazing.
