Encouraging to see interest in the fabulous 'sleeping giants' of the Y-block family.
I had a bored 312 Y in a '54 Ford Coupe, 335 C.I.; '57 dual 4 intake, Isky cam...lived in Sacramento at the time, Chevy interest was dominant thereabouts, so more than a few Chev guys got surprised by that rapid Ford. (1969)
Gotta love those "T-Bird engines"...(everybody called 'em that)

Hello Oldmics : Do you have an intended date to show us the 'build' that goes with that 'M335' engine??

Oldmic: I thank you for saving this car & the history that goes with it! I'm not trying to frustrate you : I fully understand that work comes first before projects ; Just trying to insure that the thread doesn't 'die'! I'm waiting anxiously ( baited breath?) to see this rare piece, as most of us were unaware of it's existance! The survival of this unit borders on being a miracle : It does raise the possibility that even though originally they were few in number, there might be another similar 'piece' out there waiting to be discovered, even though I realise station wagons from that era did not often lead pampered lives : they were usually treated as enclosed pick-up trucks ("ridden hard & put away wet") & tended to die young (& those that weren't worked to death were often favorites of the 'destruction derby' crowd as being nearly indestructable.)

******s in,3 on the tree linkage is all calibrated and hooked up,driveshafts mounted and the starter is in.
Going to work on the topside and hope to get the engine fired Sunday.

I hope you're having so much fun driving it that you've had no time to get back to us!! When you stop to breathe, could we get a drive report, or a video?

This "Chevrolet guy" says that engine belongs in a jewelry store; pretty and shiny engine you have there. The car has to be as nice also I would guess. Carry on! I am Butch/56sedandelivery.
