Started to make some forward progress on the good ol space herpie. after tearing things apart since last saterday i finaly got something put back on it tonight! Plans for it before autorama are: saab rack and pinion, new drop springs shocks and end links, disk brake swap, power brake booster, grill surround grill bar some body work on the chop, clean and paint the engine bay, and reseal the motor. and i just threw in new paint last night. the picture of the paint is really bad its a light green satin in spray can form of course. The clocks ticking back to the garage
****, that's ALL you got done??? Coolness, Bro...except that paint looks like you threw up on the car in the pic!!
yea it looks really bad in the picture it was a test spot i didnt even wipe the car off and it fish eyed so bad. its a weird *** color thats for sure but ya know i like weird things. next summer yall be calling it the booger
That's all you have to do and you have six whole weeks to do it? Hell...take a break and grab a beer....you have PLENTY of time!
IF it makes you feel any better, Foose didin't even have paint on the car that won the Riddler last year 6 weeks before the show. Hey, you're my best worker, I know you can do it. I'll tell you what, no overtime for the next 6 weeks
hahaha MikeO called me last night and i was telling him what i was up to with the car he thought it was putting it upstairs ill go for ridler next year i dont want make the guys look bad this year hahaha
Remeber to save a week to make some cool barricades, you don't want anyone getting too close to the "Space Booger"
Man, that thing was pure evil cruisin last summer on Woodward... droppin sparks... kind of a shame to remove the Darth Vader persona of it, but I know it'll be one step above cool when I see it in Cobo.
****...even I could make that deadline. I have to make a new windshield, finish my new and improved headers and mount my p***enger seat. Who's up fpr a 60 mile jaunt in the ****-frickin cold of a Michigan winter in a roadster? Anyone?
Piece of cake, man! I still have to get the lander together, wired, running, and the upholstery done plus take it back up to Sycamore for a buffing. I ain't scared.
**** mang, I can't say I'm envious but then again I'm a bit upset I aint got nothin' cool to put in the show. I'll just have to be a poser as usual!
Oh and I'm glad you let me know there's six weeks left. I can start shavin' my *** so it'll be smoove for Aaron when he gets to town!
You got your work cut out for you, but you'll make it. 6 Weeks is plenty of time. I like the gross color, too.
Finished one header last nite....gonna tackle the other when I get home from work. Maybe I'll even take er fer a spin in the fresh snow we got last nite!
