She is a 35 chevy pick up, powered by a 327 with triple dueces, turbo 350 transmission. Chopped about 4" channeled 4" and it does have ford box sides front and tailgate are custom we had to make the box wider to fit the truck better. Hope you guys like it
Greaser: The truck is really cool. Tell us a little about you and how you got to the hamb and how the truck came to be. Welcome! Tim
Thanks guys, I'm 38 and live up in Grande Praire Alberta Canada I've been into cars since I was a kid and always wanted to build a rod. I found the truck in Kelwona B.C about 4 yrs ago now. The truck had been rodded back in the 90's and they didn't do a very good job (bondo and poor sheet metal work( and needed to resurrected back to life. She took two and half years to build, I had a Rod shop do the body work and frame work for me and I did the rest of it. The frame is a Franken frame the front half is fresh built 2x4 square tubing and the rear half is a 67 to 72 chevy C-10 frame to the coils out and put bags on. I came across the hamb looking for ideas on the internet and signed up, I should have done a build thread but I will next time (there will be more)
Grande Prairie, hell that's in the middle of nowhere! I was up there hunting almost a year ago. By the way, nice truck..
Hey I saw you out and about with it last sat on the old bypass....I was commenting to my girlfriend what a cool little truck it is! Posted using the Full Custom H.A.M.B. App!
Great looking truck. We are starting on a 34 Chevy truck this winter. Glad to see there are other 34-35 trucks on the road because you don't see them very often.
Thanks, it's true you don't see many of the old chevys around much probably cause they didn't stop using wood till 36 i think but that also makes them cool. Would love to see pics of yours when it's done
