Economy King and Later Power King garden tractors use Crosley steering boxes and columns, transmissions and rear ends also the clutches .I was at the opening of a Economy King dealership many years ago when the dealer rep spotted a Crosley wagen behind the shop and started telling us how the original tractors were built from junkyard Crosleys!By the time Crosley cars were being discontinued the tractors were selling so good that the manufacturer of these parts had started selling new pieces to Economy King so they kept these parts in production.

Cant you adapt the crosly disc brakes to ford spindles??? i seem to remember seeing crosley brakes on g***ers
did they really work better or were they more reliable?? I know the reason they changed back to drums was because the calipers would stick and drag.
Here's a couple I saw this weekend, the national Crosley meet was this last weekend. the red one is a Bonneville racer.
anyone interested in a Crosley super sport check this website; http://www.crosley1010.com/ The car was running a Maxton NC in the ECTA land speed event. Workmanship is superb and the car is beautiful. It has a stock worked engine (45 cu in) but it couldn't fall out of tree, doesnt break 100 in the mile. JD
just confirming, as I haven't read anything one way or the other regarding performance. just that the discs were unreliable especially in snowy climates
The Jabro was an interesting little race car that used a Crosley drivetrain. http://dsr.racer.net/ch***is/jabro/page1.htm
